DIY Origami flower bouquet

I've decided to have paper flowers for my bouquet & the brides maid bouquets (i'll figure someting out for the groomsment) I'll have 20 red flowers and each bridesmaid will have a bouquet of 6 blue ones.

Here's a picture of my practice run of one flower.
Right now i'm just folding a bunch of petals and until i have enough, that's when i'll start glueing :)

DIY HERE I COME!

TOPPER FINISHED!

It's 1am and i just had to finish the cake topper! i did most of the painting before and after dinner and painted the eyes and the fan sign now. I dn't know if i should eave is tie pearl white to match my dress or to paint it blue. Anyways here's the progress breakdown and the total costs at the end! :)

I would say altogether i spend close to 20hours of sculpting and painting. possibly more but totally worth it. It may not be as nice as the professionally made ones but i think i did a pretty good job.

 COST BREAK DOWN AFTER TAXES:
Stinson 16gauge wire whole roll $3.29 (I don't think i even used $1 worth for these and i used way more already practicing wire letters)
Aluminum foil $0 already had at home
Sculpey $3.49 before taxes + 40% off Michea's coupon = $2.36 after taxes (Used all of it)
Paintbrushes & Acylic Paints from dollarama $3.67 for both (still got lots of paint left over)
1 bottle of metallic silver paint and pearl white paint $0 already had it from before but i think it was $1 each from the dollar store.
TOTAL: under $10 !! + hours of labour.

Yes it took long but it was also fun, i found it very relaxing and it was nice to spend time to myself :)
Happy DIY-ing!

DIY Cake Topper

I won't get married for atleast 2-5years (hopefully 3) but i figure i'll save them most money if i start planing early. I've started practicing making wire letters for bridesmaid's wire hangers. Here's an example of a finished name, she won't be one of my bridesmaids but one of my friends who's going away for an internship, i made it for her to hang on her door.

but what i really wanted to make the most was my cake topper. I've been looking around for ideas and i absolutely loved the custom ones where you can personalize it to look like your face. Problem is, they can go upwards to $100 up to $300!!! I decided to tackle it myself.
My first attempt to make D took me 4 hours and i hated it so i tore it all apart and started over. At first i wanted to make something like this since we met at the gym.
But i was terrible with making faces and heads so i decided to making a chibi/cartoon version of this

Here's some progress pictures

I wanted his arm around me but the shoulders are too skinny so i might make them so that they're holding hands. I'm really glad with my job with the bride (me) but i hope the rest turns out okay!
